Well, a sequel to the 2nd part is this 3rd film that totally transports us to a entirely new level, that is, to a higher level of mystery, magic & entertainment laced with chills, thrills & frills!
Created by the American author Chris Van Allsburg, this franchise follows the adventures of a couple of people who find themselves trapped while playing a magic game that will either unleash its dangerous elements into the real world or trap the players within the game itself! Ultimately, the only way to end the disruptions is to finish the game while enduring its resulting dangers with each succeeding move. Based on 2 books by Chris Van Allsburg, Jumanji (1981) & its sequel Zathura (2002), 3 films - Jumanji (1995), Zathura: A Space Adventure (2005) & Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) were already made & released proving to be money-spinners at the box-office! An animated television series with the title, Jumanji, was also telecast between1996 to 1999! It is now time for a yet another game with a lot more of thrills & chills! This 4th instalment of the franchise reunites the 4 teenagers who survived the trials & adventures of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle as they return home to Brantford, New Hampshire from their respective colleges for the holiday break. As college students, they are now trying to navigate the next level in their individual lives!
Unknown to his friends, Spencer (Alex Wolff) kept the pieces of the Jumanji video game and one day repaired the system in the basement of his grandfather's house. When Spencer's friends Bethany (Madison Iseman), Fridge (Ser'Darius Blain), and Martha (Morgan Turner) arrive, they find Spencer missing and the game running and decide to re-enter Jumanji to save him. Spencer's grandfather Eddie (Danny DeVito) and his friend Milo Walker (Danny Glover) hear the commotion & inadvertently get sucked into the game too before any of Spencer's friends can select their avatars. With a new quest offered to them by Nigel Billingsley (Rhys Darby), the teenaged friends must help Eddie and Milo get used to their in-game avatars, get them to help find Spencer and Bethany, and escape Jumanji once again & for all!
