Ukraine War, the Human Cost and Beyond…
As it seems, there is no end in sight for the war started by Russia during the end of February. The Ukraine War taught several valuable lessons to the world. Firstly, the United Nation couldn’t do much to control the war by initiating the dialogue. Secondly, Russia didn’t understand the consequences of this unwarranted aggression and its long-term ramifications. Behind the war theater, the world powers like the US and China are trying to exploit the opportunity in their favour. And they didn’t show any kind of sympathy or urgency to end the war. Though getting arms and ammunition from European friends, Ukraine people and its army have been engaged in valiantly defending their motherland. On its part, Russia can’t afford this war. The rising inflation, increased isolation from the rest of the world and most importantly, the number of Russian Army personnel who lost their lives also drastically increased. A latest study indicates; the war cost for Russia will be a whopping $20 Billion. The first four days alone, Russia spent nearly $7 Billion. Russia can’t ‘financially afford’ this war. The ripple effect of this war is causing a huge damage to the entire world. We can’t measure the damages caused by this war to the ordinary Ukrainians. It is the time for the world to act swiftly to initiate the peace process.
