Foreign Envoys Visit to J&K and After
The 24 envoys from European, Latin American and African countries visited Jammu and Kashmir to assess the ground situation in the Union Territory following the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019. By and large everything happened in a peaceful manner. Though a sudden bandh like situation has been created, it didn’t affect the visiting diplomats in any manner. The envoys also expressed their satisfaction and opined, “Change is visible in Jammu and Kashmir.” Unnecessarily Congress and National Conference leaders try to make some noise to get mileage went off unnoticed. After the abrogation of Article 370, the Government in charge is doing a commendable job of focusing on development in this region without compromising the security aspects. Except one or two minor incidents, the act of terror is completely stopped. Even the locals from different parts of J&K endorsed this view. Now, the Government should encourage tourism and other business activities in J&K to bring complete normalcy. As a world’s largest democracy, we shouldn’t too much crave for the endorsement of International agencies. As long as, it is ratified by our parliament and the people of the nation, that’s more than enough.
