CRISPR Manufactures Cancer Killing Suicide Assassins! (or How Scientists Fight Cancer with "Designer Cancer" created in the Lab)
Just like homing pigeons, cancer cells have a strong instinct to return "home" - the malignant tumor of origin.
And in spite of their many travels around the body in the bloodstream, wandering cancer cells have an uncanny ability of finding their way back to their birthplace.
CRISPR scientists have exploited this inherent behavior and created "Designer Cancer" in the laboratory.
These genetically modified cancer cells infiltrate the "home" of their own kind and activate a "kill switch" in their brethren cancer cells.
Then they immediately commit suicide; well before they have enough time to start a tumor of their own.
This is insanely brilliant!
And since it resembles the stuff of good science fiction, I thought you'd like links to a few articles about it:

About the Author -
Believing that school was too boring, he dropped out of High School early; only to earn an AA, BS and MBA in less than 4 years much later in life – while working full-time as a Navy/Marine Corps Medic.
In spite of a fear of heights and deep water, he performed high altitude, free-fall parachute jumps and hazardous diving ops in deep, open ocean water.
After 24 years of active duty, he retired in Asia.
Since then, he's been a full-time, single papa and actively pursuing his varied passions (Writing, Disruptive Technology, Computer Science and Cryptocurrency - plus more hobbies too boring or bizarre for most folk).
He lives on an island paradise with his teenage daughter, long-term girlfriend and three dogs.
