Nirav Modi's Extradition Imminent, Next is Mallaya
Winning against odds and winning in every court, the Indian Government finally secured the victory in the Nirav Modi’s case. Soon, the culprit will be extradited to India and straightaway sent to Mumbai’s notorious Arthur Road Jail. Citing depression as the reason, Nirav Modi is trying to prolong this extradition process, but that’s not possible and the game is over for this economic offender. In the last 3-year alone, Indian Government successfully brought back 11 criminals from various nations. In the last 5-years, the number of extradited criminals is around 24. As of now, India signed extradition treaty with 50 countries and signing process with 10 more countries underway.
The BJP Government gave promise to the public on several occasions and now is the time to fulfill those promises. Almost all the departments of the government worked in unison to achieve this seemingly impossible task. Same kind of determination and concerted effort is required to nab the other culprit, Vijay Mallya. This will reaffirm the faith in our justice system and also the credibility of the ruling party. At the same time, this will induce ‘fear’ to the fugitives who try to ‘escape’ by using all kinds of loopholes of the legal system of India and abroad.
