Codenames: Pictures is an extension of the sensational Codenames. The setting of the game stayed the same: players try on the roles of spies and secret agents. However, as in the original Codenames, this is just an entourage that does not affect the gameplay.
One important detail has changed in the Codenames: Pictures, now instead of cards with words, players will have cards with different pictures, which significantly revived the game.
Game preparation
A grid of 20 cards with various surrealistic pictures is laid out on the table.
Players are divided into two teams - blue and red, then each team selects a captain. Captains receive a key card. The locations of the secret agents of each team are marked on that key with blue and red colors.
The goal of the captain is to convey to his team the coordinates of all secret agents.
How it happens
The captain examines all the pictures corresponding to the color of his team, comes up with an association for several pictures and gives a hint to his team. He says one association and the number of cards to which it refers. For example, "animals 3". This means that on the field in front of the players 3 cards are associated with the word "animal".
The more cards the captain connects at a time, the better. But there is a risk that then the hint will be too vague and the team will make a mistake.
The team wins, when they find out the coordinates of all their agents, or when the enemy team comes across a killer.
