Editorial: The China Factor
The recent clashes between China and India show how the communist giant is on the aggressive mode to grab the territory which is not its part. India on the other hand valiantly defended its land by sacrificing nearly 20 soldiers. As per the estimate of US-intelligence, the Chinese lost nearly 35 lives. The skirmishes between these two big countries are not new. Still, in recent days, the Chinese activities have been increased due to the fear that India might attack the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK). In that kind of situation, it will greatly affect the CPEC (China Pakistan Economic Corridor). Another irksome factor is India refused to join the One belt one Road Scheme of Chinese. In the recent past, India daringly stopped the incoming Chinese troops along the long-disputed LAC (Line of Control) that runs nearly 4000 kms in India / China border. According to China, India poses a greater threat. As far as India, China is not a reliable neighbour. Chinese Communism mixed with Pakistan’s religious extremism is dangerous not only to Asia but to the entire world. Though China confirmed it’s pulling back of its troop. Unexpected of India’s retaliatory action and losing more soldiers than India, wounded China might engage a proxy war (both countries can’t afford a full-scale war at this juncture) with India. In this situation, India should adopt cautious aggression while dealing with unpredictable China. Because the China’s economic sphere of influence is such that even the big powers like US and European Countries are keeping quiet in the matters like Tibet’s Freedom, democracy-suppressing questionable extradition Bill connected to Hong Kong, South China Sea Aggression, China’s ‘takeover’ threat of Taiwan and the human-rights violating Chinese concentration camps in its Muslim-dominated Uighur province. In this kind of ‘China-dominated situation, the Indian Government led by Narendra Modi stopped the Chinese Applecart by defending their territory.
