How good is the A.I. in generating poetry
I am very much curious to know the ‘creative part’ of artificial intelligence. Nowadays, we can find plenty of a.i. text generator and poem generator. I just tested one of the tools called poemgenerator.org.uk
After entering quick poem menu, I got the following screen
In the tone and gender I retained the default option. For the ‘something belonging to that person, must be a singular noun’ I wrote ‘Rain
And Two adjectives, I filled ‘Drizzling’ and ‘Drenched’.
I also game pen name as ‘SSVasan” and the a.i. instantly generated the following poem.
“The Drizzling, Drenched And Rain”
A Poem by SSVasan
"Whose Rain is that? I think I know.
Its owner is quite happy though.
Full of joy like a vivid rainbow,
I watch him laugh. I cry hello.
He gives his Rain a shake,
And laughs until her belly aches.
The only other sound's the break,
Of distant waves and birds awake.
The Rain is drizzling, drenched, and deep,
But he has promises to keep,
After cake and lots of sleep.
Sweet dreams come to him cheap.
He rises from his gentle bed,
With thoughts of kittens in his head,
He eats his jam with lots of bread.
Ready for the day ahead."
Below the poem, I found this note:
With thanks to the poet, Robert Frost, for the underlying structure.
Please note: This poem was created with our quick poem generator, so results are fairly basic. Our other generators use robots who take your input then trawl the dictionary for rhymes, synonyms’ and alliteration, creating a more unique experience.
