Well, Genshin Impact fans did not have to wait until Update 1.1 to get access to the game’s first new story quest since launch, but it is gated behind another hefty objective, hitting AR 38, two levels above AR 36, which allowed access to the last Venti quest.
The AR 38 quest just went live today at reset and stars Mona, one of the game’s few 5 stars. I woke up early to check it out and I finished the quest in maybe about 25 minutes or so, which is broken up into three parts and features a very (very) short Trial for Mona.
The gist of the quest is that we meet Mona outside Liyue Harbor and agree to pretend to be her apprentice for reasons I’m still not clear about. She needs to travel to Mondstadt on an errand for her master, and along the way we deal with the usual Genshin Impact problems. Money problems, as we do an errand for a local and Mona promptly pockets our commission, and then food problems, which involves cooking Mona a dish at Wangshu Inn.
