Fantasising about ghostly characters becoming real has always been common in in people more especially after a thrilling tale of story or a horror / Sci-Fi flick.
And just recently several parts of the USA were hit by a humongous dust storm which was referred to as “Godzilla” by experts and of course threatened residents on the run seeking cover from the deadly storms. Children as well are one other group highly susceptible to infatuating of ghosts, fairies and mermaids coming to life from late night stories and movies.
But however to a Philippine story which has surfaced once again for the second time on social medical networks Facebook and Twitter, improbable creatures come to live in true living colour as it appears the story isn’t a at all a tale in a fish.
It appears a photo of a bat reported to be “human size” has taken the internet by storm lately.
The freaking picture was shared on social media Network Twitter by user @AlexJoestar622 and gunnered 270, 000 likes and 100,000 retweets from the terrified handlers.
Captioned; "Remember when I told y’all about the Philippines having human-sized bats? Yeah, this was what I was talking about," the photos involve a giant looking bat hanging from a roof in a seemingly residential homestead in the Philippines. The golden-crowned flying fox was first encountered some years back Sakundes a Filipino user who reportedly met with it in their backyard and was shared to Reddit.
In one photo the terrifying creature had nicely enclosed itself in its feather showing to be well asleep. – And as its dangling on the roof its terrifying realising how oversized it is in length unlike the normal ones which could have been tiny on the roof structures.
BACKLASH
Although the post had more detail proving its authenticity, some users however had something else to say with most users sharing their disagreements on social media platforms Facebook and twitter.
The comment section was ablaze as some users agued of the size being altered a bit through means of Photoshop and other image deforming applications in PCs and smart phones.
Some terrified expressed how they’ll never think of setting on a journey to the Philippines.
"What a nightmare. Needless to say visiting the Philippines is now permanently off my bucket list," user commented in shock.
While comments flew in endlessly by holders in shock and disbelieve, some came in to clarify and set everything straight for everybody with some stating the exact size of the mysterious creature.
“However, the facts have been cleared. The bat itself is only apparently ‘like that of a small dog”. “The golden-crowned flying fox is one of the largest bat species in the world. And, according to Bat Conservation International, they are in the risk of extinction”.
“The so-called 'human-sized' bat has a wingspan of up to 1.7 metres (5.6 feet) and a weight of up to 2.6 pounds.”
