St. Clair County Library System branches are following local and state guidelines to ensure public safety as they reopen their doors.
A touchless curbside service from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday is available. Requests can be placed by calling a local branch from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
MelCat services have not resumed.
Other safety precautions include quarantining returned items for 72 hours before recirculation and implementing additional cleaning and using shielding materials.
Patrons may return items to drop boxes. Patrons will be charged for damaged or lost items left outside of drop boxes.
The library’s digital “Imagine Your Story” summer reading program for all ages is scheduled to run through Aug. 31.
Online story times are scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays on Facebook.
The library will offer an online “Folktales & Fables” series on YouTube July 28, Aug. 11 and 25.
St. Clair County library branches offer a slew of databases for digital learning opportunities for patrons. Michigan residents also have free access to several digital resources through the Michigan Electronic Library at mel.org.
Book donations will not be accepted until further notice.
