IJCH - Inside JaiChai's Head
(Meaning: My Warped, Personal Opinions and Musings)
From the Author:
Salutations.
I am JaiChai.
And if I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you before, I'm delighted to make your acquaintance now.
I invite you to interact with everyone, learn, and have as much fun as possible!
For my returning online friends, "It's always great to see you again!"
I Love Clouds -
Clouds are more than mere manifestations of atmospheric conditions.
They are fun to look at, inspirational, and a visual reminder of an important Universal Principle affecting each individual and humanity as a whole.
I've spent many hours imagining shapes in those wonderful cotton balls in the sky; conjuring up a nice story to go with the image in my mind's eye.
Either with my daughter, my girlfriend, or simply by myself, there something satisfying, yet indescribable in this simple act of cloud watching.
It's different for each individual.
For some, it gets the creative juices flowing. Writer's block suddenly evaporates. Drawing, painting, composing music, or fleshing out new choreography seems a bit easier.
Some feel more energetic, while others get blanketed by a profound calmness.
But most importantly, like the stars at night, clouds make people look up at the sky.
And IMHO, that's crucial for every person on Earth.
Here's why.
Of Clouds and Techno-Zombies
Today's culture is so focused on gadgets that all the techno-zombies around the world never look up to the sky.
In doing so, they are choosing to remain in Techno Hell.
And they will never be able to connect with the beauty and vastness of the universe.
Alan Watts -
Alan Watts:
"People like to say that he or she 'came into this world' on such and such date. That is a profoundly erroneous and misleading statement. We came 'FROM' the world, not 'INTO' the world. We are all 'OF' the world; and therefore, 'OF' the Universe."
I recommend all to view and enjoy any of Alan Watts YouTube videos.
His videos are guaranteed to make you laugh, deeply ponder the universe, and immediately reexamine the validity of the long-held beliefs you had previously thought of as ultimate truths.
Back to all the people who never look up.
Notice how they go about their business forever looking downward at their smartphones and tablets - totally oblivious that there is even a sky above them!
How do an overwhelming majority of them honestly describe their lives?
In a word: "Lonely".
In our privacy-centric, individualized, "separated" existence, the results of this self-imposed isolation range from a general dissatisfaction with life to full-blown depression.
In reality, EVERYTHING IS ONE.
Clouds remind us of that.
And if/when people realize this, suddenly the whole picture changes.
'Nuff rambling for now.
May you and yours be well and love life today.
Namaste, JaiChai.
Really Appreciate You Stopping By.
Truly hope to see you again!
About the Author
Believing that school was too boring, he dropped out of High School early; only to earn an AA, BS and MBA in less than 4 years much later in life – while working full-time as a Navy/Marine Corps Medic.
In spite of a fear of heights and deep water, he performed high altitude, free-fall parachute jumps and hazardous diving ops in deep, open ocean water.
After 24 years of active duty, he retired in Asia.
Since then, he's been a full-time, single papa and actively pursuing his varied passions (Writing, Disruptive Technology, Computer Science and Cryptocurrency - plus more hobbies too boring or bizarre for most folk).
He lives on an island paradise with his teenage daughter, longtime girlfriend and three dogs.
