What are the Ten Commandments for Cryptians? Let's review some lessons we can learn from this long bear crypto market.
The tremendous collapse of prices suffered by the crypto market throughout 2018 has provided us with profound lessons that should be recorded in memory if we want to learn from the mistakes made and continue advancing in the development and dissemination of these tools for individual freedom that one day will invade our daily lives.
Therefore, we have elaborated ten cryptian commandments to keep in mind throughout 2019, because the waters are stirred, and it is probable that they will continue to be stirred during the coming year.
1. You shall love DYOR above all things. Don't panic! No empire was built in a day, and this has only just begun. If you have followed the minimum recommendations to invest only what you can afford to lose, you will be able to see your investment as an educational game and enjoy, as a small child, this exciting journey into the world of dreams. Anything is possible, except not having fun. If you suffer, give it up. Remember that this is a long-distance race, where money is transferred from the hands of the impatient to the pockets of those who sway placidly in the backwaters of patience.
2. You shall not take the fluctuations of the market in vain. Because of their volatility and lack of clear regulation, cryptocurrencies are very high-risk financial instruments. Study well the projects in which you decide to contribute your money and don't be fooled by the smoke sellers who promise succulent incomes, but they don't tell you that only for them. Keep your savings well stored in cold wallets where only you control the private keys, depositing in the exchanges only the amounts you want to trade. Study, learn, doubt, question, look for courses and tutorials, and share your learning with the world.
3. You shall sanctify the holly days. If, in the end, the reality we perceive constitutes a simulation, in which we embody the dream but also the dreamer, let us dream festivities, celebrations, ceremonies and smiles, exchanges of love, because it is the supreme end of all creation. And you don't pay for that with money. A tremendous and eternal party is approaching, who wants to contribute their knowledge to change the rules of the game?
4. You shall honor Satoshi and the blockchain. Although the networks of blockchains are branching more and more, it is advisable not to lose too much in the branches and remain at all times connected to the roots of these disruptive and robust technologies. We can use them to liberate ourselves as human beings, or to perpetuate our condition as slaves, subordinated to the depredation of the States. If we stay awake, it will be very difficult to relapse into nets designed to subdue us and blur our dreams.
5. You shall not give up. Although our faith sometimes shakes and we are tempted to sail in favor of the current and sell, in this game those who do it the other way around win. They buy when everyone sells, and they sell when everyone fights to grab a piece of the cake. Rivers of blood don't last forever. The green candles will return with their light our beads to light, and again the great capitals, playing, will invest.
6. You shall not let yourself be dragged by FOMO and FUD. FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) is the feeling of missing the train when faced with an unrepeatable opportunity. FOMO makes us make hasty buying decisions without having studied and valued the fundamentals of investment. For its part, FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt) is the strategy most used by the big magnates, through the media, to manipulate prices, sowing panic among investors with alarmist news and ominous comments.
7. You shall not steal. The growing theft of cryptocurrencies from exchanges is one of the biggest concerns among investors. Logically, the centralization points, where much wealth is concentrated, are a juicy target for pilferers. Using exchanges exclusively to buy is something that minimizes these risks. At the same time, blockchain is generally more transparent and easier to trace, and those who disrespect other people's property are not well received by the community. In addition, with reputation gaining in importance, the smartest strategy in the new game is not exactly that of the thief who thinks he's smarter than the rest, deceiving his own self.
8. You shall not listen to gurus or invest in pyramidal schemes. The pyramidal structures are very beneficial for the summit, the first to enter, but sooner or later they become unsustainable and crumble hopelessly, dragging in their fall all those who stay behind. Don't trust anyone who tells you that money multiplies, because if you neglect yourself, it will take your guts out. Understand why distributed networks are important, to point the finger at phonies and hold firmly the reins of our lives. All thanks to mathematics and cryptography.
9. You shall not consent to thoughts or desires of surrender. When the market doesn't dare to go up, it's time to build or, as they say, BUIDL. Contributing is the best way to receive. Much remains to be done, let's not rest on our laurels and let's lend a hand in what we can well contribute to that dazzling future of exchange and mutual enrichment networks. Extend among your friends and acquaintances the goodness of crypto, beyond the cataclysm, behind the mirage.
10. You shall not covet the goods of others. What you give, you give to yourself. What you don't give, you take away from yourself. And what you take away from others without their permission will eat away at your conscience for the rest of your days. Focusing on legislating the lives of others makes us neglect ourselves and lose our identity. We will see if, in decentralizing the creation of capitals, we are focusing on the most important thing: safeguarding freedom. And not allowing ourselves to be intimidated by those who want to teach us by imposing limits on our own body and property!
«The times we live in demand that we be our own shamans, united more than by being part of the same tradition, by sharing and maintaining a new attempt for the human being. We are getting closer to being able to express in our lives our true nature. Every day more and more human beings refuse to submit to the dictatorship of perception, because we have experienced —more than read or heard— that we are multidimensional beings, and we refuse to live anesthetized and limited in the only reality that existed, and for which we had only been trained. More and more human beings are enthusiastic about exploration and not evasion, discovery and not ignorance, novelty and not habit, the expansion of our consciousness and not the robotization of our lives, real love and not slavery disguised as tenderness. In other words: more and more human beings yearn for freedom and not false security» (Juanjo Piñeiro, The Awakening of the Mushroom).
