A.I. Copywriters are ready for action
Everyone—from marketing gurus to financial professionals—eyebrows rose when they heard, the Chase bank had signed a 5-year deal with Persado, a New York-based company that creates marketing slogans, catchphrases, and ad-campaigns.
The Chase people say that advertisement slogans created by Persado’s machine learning performed better than ads written by humans. The machine-generated ads attracted a higher percentage of consumers who responded by clicking the online advertisements.
In one example “Access cash from the equity in your home” is one of the slogans written for Chase. However, Persado’s smart machine wrote “It’s true—you can unlock cash from the equity in your home.’ This particular advertisement got a tremendous response from the audience. When the machines start defeating the Chess Champions and Go Champions, everyone thought, it’s difficult for the machine to achieve human-level efficiency in creative writing. With advent of ad-generating machines like this certainly change our worldview on this subject.
