What would you do if you were "The Creator"? (Watch this 10 minute video first!)
After I watched the video "Kara: Story Of The First Deviant" (below), I was surprised how conflicted I felt.
On the one hand, I wanted to empathize with Kara. But since I am not an android, the most I could do was simply to sympathize with "her".
On the other hand, I wrestled with the idea of sentient machines and what the definition of truly "Being Alive" may or not be. Is there one?
Lastly, I wondered if I would've been "a good soldier" and simply did what I was ordered to do; that is, screen for "defective" hardware.
Nevermind if that "hardware" may or may not be a new form of life.
In the end, I'm pretty sure I would have done what this "Creator" did and let Kara "live" - no matter what the future ramifications on Mankind would result from such a decision.

Believing that school was too boring, he dropped out of High School early; only to earn an AA, BS and MBA in less than 4 years much later in life – while working full-time as a Navy/Marine Corps Medic.
In spite of a fear of heights and deep water, he performed high altitude, free-fall parachute jumps and hazardous diving ops in deep, open ocean water.
After 24 years of active duty, he retired in Asia.
Since then, he's been a full-time, single papa and actively pursuing his varied passions (Writing, Disruptive Technology, Computer Science and Cryptocurrency - plus more hobbies too boring or bizarre for most folk).
He lives on an island paradise with his teenage daughter, long term girlfriend and three dogs.
